Week 5: Fusion 360 & Paper Folding Techniques




Fusion 360 Models

The use of Fusion 360 started as confusing. I struggled to understand what I was doing and what to do next, although over the span of using it for a while I became comfortable with commands, and found myself able to complete the work issued.

In regards to the making of my initials in fusion 360, I came to a few problems when trying to create this abstract form. The first issue was trying to make the middle initial move upwards, I was unable to do this as I followed Russells tutorial, and struggled to understand how he used certain commands.

With the texturing, when I finally rendered the AKM out, it came out in white, which I loved the simplicity of. This meant the textures I had tried to implement did not work though, although after seeing the white, though bland, I thought it was simplistic and elegant.

The Creation of My Feature Wall

As I found my box room boring, I wanted to implement new ways to add dimention and geometric shapes to the room. Hence, I created a pattern with paper, which became a prominent feature wall. This additionally allowed me to experiment with lighting in the room, as it reflects off in different angles.




Finally, the implementation of a scaled figure allowed me to understand my space more;
